As you reverse, the ScanStep Wireless Reversing Sensor sends a signal to the wireless receiver plugged into your in-vehicle 12 volt power supply. When there is an object in the sensors zone an audio and visual alert notifies the driver.
Just as you would expect with a factory or aftermarket fitted product, the ScanStep has a number of sensor scanning zones that are relational to the audio and visual notifications. The ScanStep will detect objects from as far away as 2.1 metres and scans to a width of 2.4 metres.
