The skill and craftsmanship involved in creating a top-level elite vehicle is far greater than most people imagine.

Australians build outstanding customised vehicles and we take great pleasure in recognising and rewarding those who are leading the way. In 2001 we created a new concept called Show Car Superstars, which took the Australian Showcar scene to a new level. In 2005, the name was changed to simply Meguiar’s Superstars and the Custom Motorcycles class was included.

Meguiar’s Superstars is an annual championship where Australia’s most highly regarded modified/customised cars and motorcycles are judged against a unique “show elite” criteria to discover the true best of breed. The final is held each year at Meguiar’s MotorEx on the first weekend in July at the Dome in Sydney Olympic Park, Homebush Bay.

There are four Classes:
- Hot Rods (Pre 1948)
- Street Machines (1948-1986 and late model Muscle Cars)
- HiTech Tuners (Post 1986, 4 + 6 cylinder or rotary)
- Custom Motorcycles (All years and types)

Images of the top Street Machines, Hot Rods, Tuners and Custom Motor Cycles can now be downloaded to create your own customised wallpaper calendar for your computer. The images are free and the calendar is perpetual starting December 2006. The calendar will be available on a month by month basis with new cars from the Superstars series being added all the time. So don't forget to check back regularly for the new month and car.

We are currently working on creating a screensaver of the Superstars which should be available early January 2007.

How to set your Superstars Wallpaper -

• Select the Month
• Select the Car
• Choose between PC or MAC format
• Click "GO"
• Click the screen resolution set on your desktop
  (If your not sure of your screen resolution,
         Right click on your desktop,
         Click "Properties" then select the "Settings" tab)
• Place your mouse over the image
• Right click on your mouse
• Select the option, "Set As Background" and your browser will do the changes for you.
